This article will cover:
- Simple pricing
- Tiered pricing
- Earlybird pricing
- Add-ons
- Changing the price for a specific class date
Simple pricing
You should use simple pricing if there is a fixed per person ticket price. The price you set here should including everything for one guest to participate in the class (cost of class, materials, craft kit if applicable, tax).
To use simple pricing you can:
- Go to the "Price" section on the "Listing edit" page.
- Enter the ticket price for one guest in the $ field.
- Save your changes
Ticket types
In some cases, you may need to have ticket types for your class where the pricing differs. For example, maybe you have adult, child and/or concession pricing, or you may have different options for the customer to choose from for their craft, like the in the example below. You can have a total of 6 ticket types.
To add ticket types, after choosing simple pricing you can:
- Click "Add ticket type".
- Enter the value for the ticket type, as well the description of the ticket tpye.
- Click "Save".
Price varying by day of the week
You may like to make the price per person vary depending on the day of the week. For example, perhaps you offer discounted pricing on weekdays vs weekends.
Customers won't need to select the different price on the checkout page for public bookings like they do for ticket types, the system will automatically know that the price is varied for the day(s) of the week that you've set as special price days.
To make the price vary, after choosing simple pricing you can:
- Tick the "Price varies by day of week" checkbox.
- Set the special price in the "Special price" field, and choose the day of the week and time on that day that you'd like the special pricing to apply to using the dropdown menus.
- If the special price applies to multiple days of the week, you can click "Add day condition" to add the other days.
- Now, when you add class dates to this listing, if the day of the week is one that you chose for the special price, this will automatically have the different price.
Box is optional (live-streaming with craft kit listings)
If your listing is an online class with a craft kit delivered, you can choose whether the kit is optional for customers or not.
If the craft kit is optional for your live-streaming class (e.g. participants can use their own materials and don't need to be sent your kit), then you can tick the checkbox that says "Box is optional - offer different pricing for class with box vs no box". Then enter the ticket price for the class and box ticket, and the ticket price for the class only, no box ticket.
Tiered pricing
For public classes and private requests, you may like to offer discounts for group bookings, to encourage larger groups to book. You can do this on your listing by using "Tiered pricing". When you set up tiered pricing, the checkout page will automatically change the price per person when the group size reaches a different tier.
To set up tiered pricing, you can:
- Go to the "Price" section on the "Listing edit" page.
- Choose "Tiered pricing".
- Set the price per ticket (guest) for each tier. You can click "Add tier" if you want to have more tiers.
- Save your changes. Using the above example, your listing page will look like the below.
Earlybird pricing (discount for early bookings)
If you'd like to give customers who book into a public class early a price discount, you can set up earlybird pricing. Earlybird pricing only applies to public classes, and does not apply to private bookings.
To set up earlybird pricing, you can:
- Go to the "Price" section on the "Listing edit" page.
- Tick the "Earlybird price" checkbox.
- Enter the number of days before each sessions that they will need to book, in order to get the discount. For example, if you enter 14, then customers who book 14 days or more prior to a class date will get the discount.
- Enter the total ticket price for earlybird tickets.
- Save your changes. Using the above example, your listing will look like the below.
Add-ons
If there are additional goods or services you can provide with the experience for an additional fee, then you can use the "Extras" section of the listing setup page to add an add-on to the listing. This will give customers more choices on the checkout page. E.g. it could be a glass of wine to enjoy with the class, extra material choices etc.
To add an add-on you can:
- Go to the "Extras" part of the "listing edit" page.
- Click "Create and attach add-on"
- Enter the name of the add-on, and the total price per guest.
- Save your changes.
- Any add-on that you add to one listing, will be available in the "Extras" section of all of your listings, unticked (not included on the checkout page). If you'd like to include the add-on on another listing, just go to the edit page for that listing, and tick the add-on before saving.
Change the price for one class date (one-off)
You may need to change the price for one class date as a one-off. E.g. you may have a special occasion class, where there are more inclusions, or it's a certain theme, so you'd like to change the price for that one class date.
To do this, you can:
- Click "Edit dates" on the Listings tab for the listing.
- Click the three dots next to the date that you'd like to change the price for.
- Click "More options"
- Enter the new price in the "Different price per guest" field.
- Save your changes.
Creating 'sale' / discount prices
You can easily use discounts, in 3 ways:
- You can create a voucher, via your 'Vouchers' tab, then share this voucher code with your audience
- You can set a discounted price for the entire listing (only applicable if you're not using tiered pricing). Once your listing has been approved for a few weeks, you'll see this option appear
- You can set a discounted price for a specific session (only applicable if you're not using tiered pricing) - you can do this by editing that session and setting a specific price; you can update the session-specific title to mention 'Sale' or something to that effect if you wish
